Grateful to be accepted into the program, with 6 months of Claude Max 20x in support of my open source work.
Some happy news to share: I’ve been accepted into the Claude for Open Source Program by Anthropic.
The email opened with a simple “You’re in” and honestly, that made my day. As part of the program, I’ll receive Claude Max 20x free for 6 months. It’s Anthropic’s way of thanking open source contributors who, in their words, “keep the ecosystem running”.
I applied with my open source projects, including two that the community has been kind enough to embrace:
- chanhdai.com: a developer portfolio template and shadcn registry with over 2,000 stars on GitHub. It has inspired many developers in the community to build their own portfolios.
- React Wheel Picker: a clean, mobile-style picker for React applications. It’s lightweight, smooth, and easy to drop into any form, with 30,000+ weekly downloads and 700+ stars on GitHub. The project is also sponsored by Vercel through the Vercel OSS Program 2025.
Claude has already become a big part of how I build, from shipping new components to reviewing code in my daily workflow. Having Claude Max for the next 6 months means I can spend more time doing what I love: building, polishing, and giving back to open source.
